December Birchbox

I am always VERY excited when my monthly Birchbox comes to me in the mail!! Because its always a SURPRISE!!! Filled with 4-5 deluxe samples that you wouldn't normally think to purchase or that you haven't yet heard of.
This month for December Birchbox, they decorated the box with a bunch of snowflakes. They usually include a postcard with a letter from the Birchbox Team and on the opposite side it lists what you received this month in your Birchbox; but this month it was made into this really pretty card with snowflakes everywhere..its still has same information as before just in a different form.

This month I recieved..
1.) Atelier Cologne Ambre Nue- This is a Birchbox EXCLUSIVE..Fragrance won't debut till January. Spicy amber notes contrast with sweet hasmine and green mandarin.
2.)Benefit Cosmetics-The POREfessional- Camouflage visible pores with this velvety face primer.
3.) Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Birchbox Pink- Birchbox teamed up with one of their favorite brands to create this custom fuchsia shade.
4.) Nuxe-Huile Prodigieuse OR Multi-Usage Dry Oil Shimmer- You can apply it to your face and body to give skin a silken feel and subtle glow. You can also work a few drops into your hair for softness and shimmer.
5.) PREP Showstoppers- Designer Fashion Tape
6.) RECHARGE EBOOST- Orange Natural Energy Booster- Bounce back post-party with this tangy citrus energy booster packed with a mega-dose of nutrients.

Revlon Multi Care Base+Top Coat

So I've been looking for a good yet affordable base coat, at first I saw OPI's Base coat which was .5 Fl oz. and cost about 8-9$. I wasn't really happy about spending that much on a base coat, so I looked around a bit more and noticed in Revlon's nail polish section they also had a nail care section. IT WAS MULTI CARE and for only 3-4 $ that is half the price of OPI's base coat, and this could be used as a base or top coat or BOTH. So I instantly had to have it, and since Revlon never never disappoints me, I felt it was money well spent. After using Revlon's Multi Care Base+ Top coat you let it dry of course but when I apply my nail polish over it..well lets just say my nail polish applies literally like a dream. AND I have less mess ups :)
This is something you are going to want to check out for yourself..you won't be disappointed!!

MAC Black Friday Lipstick

The Black Knight yes this isn't exactly your every day wear kind of lipstick. It won't work with everything, it would be great for Halloween, Theatrical Make Up etc. But this lipstick is LIMITED EDITION and only comes out for Black Friday. So I really couldn't let this pass by, even though I don't yet have a good use for it.. It still will be a great edition to my make up collection. This Lipstick is 14.50$ and it is no longer being sold you can check out MAC Cosmetics here

Did you get the MAC Lipstick Black Friday?

NOTD-Nail of the Day

My Nail for today was Butter London's Tart with A Heart and Zoya's Pandora. I love this nail look its girly and feminine but at the same time I find it fun and chic. The glitter polishes as always are a big pain to remove..but I have a little trick that works WONDERS! I'll do a post on that asap. Butter London polishes are 14$ and Zoya polishes are 8$ (if you click the brands name it will take you to the online stores you can purchase these nail polishes and more.

NOTN-Nail Of The Night- Revlon Silver Screen

Let me just say I am a BIG fan of Revlon in general. This nail polish is Silver Screen you can get it at any of your local drugstores for about 4 to 5 $. I love this color, it applied very very well. I used about two coats, it would do good with one coat but i always put two coats for a just in case kind of thing.  Underneath Silver Screen I am wearing a Revlon Base Coat(which i will be putting up a review soon) and over top Silver Screen I appied Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat you can also get that at any Drugstore.

This color is definitely a great color for this season because its metallic/color and also very sexy for a night out.

Whats your nail of the night? NOTN

Wicked Wednesdays Volume 1

To me Wednesdays are the best day of the week, why you may ask? Well because its not the beginning of the week and its not the end of the weekend. Its right in the middle, I'm relieved its no longer Monday and that the week is almost over..but then not so much because I don't look forward to Sundays. I seldomly  experience what people call Sunday Fun-day.. that's my laundry day, cleaning day, shopping day..etc. So this is a going to a Wicked Wednesday kind of thing. I'll see how it goes.. If it works out. Hopefully there will be many more Volumes of Wicked Wednesday.

1. Mood: Very EXCITED..because The UPS Man is bringing me lots of goodies today :D

2. Have you already started your Christmas shopping?
No I haven't :/ the most I have is a list with names on it.

3. What are you more excited for, Christmas or Thanksgiving? Why?
Well if I was going to be with my dad for Thanksgiving I would be excited because he makes the BEST food. BUT since I'm going to my dads for Christmas to see my older sister, my niece, my dad, my stepmom and bunch more..I'm more excited for Christmas!

4. Do you like that alot of malls and grocery stores are already starting to play Christmas music?
No..not really because then when its actually December and I'll want to listen to Christmas tunes I won't because by then it will already be played out.

5. What cosmetic/beauty/skin care brand are you excited for the most with their Holiday Collections coming out?
Well it was MAC but since I've already gotten almost everything from that collection I want.. I can't wait to buy alot of LUSH Holiday Products. :) Their so amazing!

6. Do you have any Holiday Parties planned?
At the moment no. But I'm sure I'll be going out with my girls/guys and celebrating.

7. What are your favorite Christmas movies?
I like the classics, the ones I'd used to watch all the time when I was little :)
The Christmas Tree, The Christmas List, The Santa Claus, Home Alone, Charlie Brown stuff. Frosty the snowman(the animated old one), Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer (also the animated old one) I could go on.

8. What do you enjoy doing the most on those cold winter days?
I love putting on a pair of my crazy colored big fuzzy socks, making some hot tea or hot cocoa, and curling up on my couch in front of the tv watch Christmas shows or movies :)

9. What is your Favorite Show to watch on Wicked Wednesday?
That would most definitely have to be Criminal Minds. I love me some Detective Morgan :)
10. Weekly goals: Buy the last three wants from the MAC Holiday Collection. Figure out what I'm getting the important people for Christmas! Donate Kelvins old toys.
Hope you all Enjoy your week, and get some things accomplished. :)

NOTD-Movember- Support Prostate Cancer

So I saw this cute little nail design through Birchbox, they posted a link to it. I love this.. it was quite hard and didn't turn out as well, but I'm still enjoying them. Cutepolish (Youtube Channel) has AMAZING nails, unfortunately I  did this at a spur of the moment and all I had to make the design was a tooth pick. If your wondering what is up with the little Western Mustaches (Oh so adorable) it's to raise awareness for Prostate Cancer for Movember, also No Shave November.  Here is a link to find out more information about Movember ----> Click me! Help raise awareness

The nail polish I used was: OPI Road House Blues (for the mustache) and for the base I used Nubar Nail Lacquer in Baby Blue

So yes I know mine aren't as perfect..they kind of look like Seagulls. HA. Oh well its still for a good cause. I suggest that if you try this or any of her other tutorials you have the right tools, so that you can get the best look possible. I've included a link to her Youtube Channel above and here is the video. Please do check her out, she is super talented and paints a killer nail ;p

Everyone I'm sure LOVES Sigma brushes for their quality, their price and etc. I know I do, so when I read through the "twitter grape-vine" that Sigma has a new Synthetic Brush Line out I almost flipped my lid. They have A Synthetic Kabuki Kit 56$, Synthetic Precision Kit 49$, and a Synthetic Essential Kit (which is both of those kits combined) for 99$. I am definitely going to purchase the Synthetic Essential Kit. These brushes last forever!! best quality by far then any other brushes I have used. Not to mention you get a FREE GIFT with any purchase 30$ or more.

Here is a link so you can check it out for yourself! Sigmax Collection

Henna Ink'd

So this past Saturday my Husband(Jon) took me and our son to the Renaissance Festival here in Ohio. Before we got there I was determined to get a Henna Tattoo. Those of you that aren't familiar with or what a Henna tattoo is- Temporary form of skin decoration, lasts about 1-3 weeks, a Henna paste is applied in the shape and place of what you want..the paste will then crust up and dry. After that happened on my henna tattoo i was a light dingy orange, the next day I woke up it was a medium brown color. :) I love Henna!

This is what it looked like with the Henna paste on, before it crusted and fell off.

And this is After 2 days, in person its much darker than this
I remember the first time I ever wanted Henna was when my mom and dad took me and my sisters to the Renissance Festival in Maryland. My mother got one and I thought they were just so cool, she of course didn't allow me to get one. SO now I'm finally living my 14 year old self's dream.

Incoco-Urban Jungle Glitter Nail Tutorial

I know that these "dry nail appliques" have been out for quite some time now, I didn't try them until I recieved a pair in my September Birchbox. Also included with the nail appliques was a code to get a discount on a seperate pair  directly from Incoco. I loved them after trying my Birchbox pair so much that I couldn't resist. The pair Birchbox sent me was called "Femme Fatale", I decided on getting "Urban Jungle (glitter)" because well its just gorgeous!

The Incoco Dry Nail Appliques are so easy to apply, they may look intimidating but don't let the process fool you; its literally fool proof . Incoco has so many designs and colors to chose from, all at affordable prices some cheaper then others. If you don't feel like spending 8.99 & up for Incoco, or waiting till they get to you in the mail you can always stop by your local Drugstore and pick up some made by Sally Hansen(they now have some halloween designs out).

This is Femme Fatale

Supplies/tools needed:
1. Incoco Dry Nail Appliques or Sally Hansen Salon Effects
2. Nail polish remover
3. Nail filer
4. Baby Scissors

Step 1: There will be 8 nail stickers for each hand, of course you only have 5 fingers on each hand so you won't need them all but everyone has different sized fingers/nails :) so choose the finger you want to start on and find the applique that fits that finger and pull it off. I'm going to start with my thumb.
Step 2: Remove the top clear covering and remove the end, so all your left with is the dry nail applique. So that this is all your left with:

Step 4:  Now peel off that paper on the back of the nail applique. Then line it  up with your natural nail, use a cuticle pusher if you need it. Once dry nail applique is lined up with your nail smooth it out and remove the remained with either the nail filer or baby scissors. It should look a little something like this when you have finished:

Then VOILA! one nail down 9 more to go. Just do this process on your remaining finger nails!

PS-- This is very important, make sure to wash your hands before you apply these and do not use lotion until AFTER dry nail appliques are applied, or else they won't adhere to the nail like they are suppose to. If you do have any problems use a top coat or a base coat and apply it underneath the nail applique to act like glue.

Finished Look

What did you guys think? Are you tempted to try them now? have you tried them? What were your thoughts?

Femme Fatale was definitely my favorite!!!
