Blue Sky Sparkle A Nail Tutorial!

I was getting quite bored with just the normal day to day solid nail polish color. I wanted greatly to mix it up, add some PIZAZZZ! Plus I wanted a cool, pretty & fun nail look for my wedding ceremony. YES I'm married I'm Now Mrs. Fermin!  Anyways, I searched through my makeup stash to see if i had any jewels or loose glitter to add in the mix, sure enough I found some white/silver glitter.

Here is a list of what you will need:
1. Nail Polish Remover
2.Blue Nail Polish ( any shade)
3. Loose glitter
4. Cotton Balls or paper towels
5. a clear overcoat or any overcoat to put over nail polish
6. Some lotion because nail polish tends to dry out my fingers (moisturize those cuticles)

You want to start out with clean/bare finger nails and don't forget to lotion up those puppies (everybody loves soft hands)
my hands aren't huge..as they may look like it in the pic.

Then grab your blue nailpolish, any shade it doesn't matter so long as its blue..or else it defeats the purpose of being called "Blue Sky Sparkle" and put atleast 2 coats on each nail. You have two choices 1. paint one nail at a time, grab a pinch of glitter sprinkle it on your nail and repeat OR 2. Paint all your nails, let them dry, apply an Overcoat polish to one nail, sprinkle on the glitter then repeat.
I personally like option (2) that way your polish lasts a bit longer with less chipping.

I'm using Milani's Neon Nailpolish is Dude Blue

I'm using Wet N' WIld loose Glitter(I've had it for years not sure if they still sell this kind)

I don't know about you but I LOVE to paint atleast one nail a completely different color. If you also like doing this then I say go for it! Its a very cute look!

The purple nail polish is Milani Neon in Rad Purple

Final look!!

Now you may think that is way to much glitter girl!!! but honestly its not, all the excess glitter will fall off and you will be left with perfectly sparkly nails! You DO NOT I repeat DO NOT want to apply an OVERCOAT atop the glitter, because it will end up looks just bumpy and funky. Trust me using either option 1 or 2 the glitter will last quite a bit.

Happy Nail Painting Ladies!! :)

Fitness Vol 1. Edition 1. (TURBOFIRE)

Yes this is going to be a post about fitness, I think exercise is very important. It keeps you body healthy, strong, and of course its like a fountain of youth. This topic is very important to me and I'm very proud how far I have come. So lets get into it shall we?!

Being over-weight is always such a touchy feeling, everyone is embarrassed and ashamed they let it get so bad. Some wallow in self-pity and make it worse WHILE others take immediate action. Here is my story: I have never been over weight a day in my life..that was until Nov 2009 I found out I was pregnant. I ate very healthy and drank tons of water, I put myself on a strict diet..but somehow I was gaining MORE weight then expected/usual at a fast rate. I was due in August 2010, by that point I weight 220+lbs, I was very ashamed and embaressed and depressed I had gained so much. Before I got pregnant I was in a size 9 at 135-140, I gained at minimum 80lbs (jaws drop) I have no idea how I gained so much weight it was tearing me up.. I didn't want ANY pictures at all. Which now that I look back on it, I regret it because my son, my husband and I won't have many pictures to look back on. I went a week passed my due date and was induced, I gave birth to an extremely healthy baby boy(7lbs8oz). I was so tired and exhausted I didn't care that pictures were being taken.

I did not like the way my body looked, I avoided mirrors at all cost and would avoid hanging out with any of my friends because I didn't want them to see the extreme amount of weight I had put on. I was more then determined that as soon as my doctor gave me the "A-OK" I was going to kick it in gear. I got that word from her, and I changed everything about myself. I ate smaller portions six times a day, lots of fruits/veggies/whole grains, drank tons of water. I cut out sweets, bad carbs , salt, junk food, fried/greasy foods and stopped eating past 8pm. That alone helped me lose about 15 pounds, it wasn't going as I planned. So its late at night I'm just scanning through every infomercial ever made! And there it was..my solution, my new ADDICTION!

It was an infomercial for this workout program, from Beach Body and it was called TurboFire. It looked extremely fun, different unlike anything I'd ever seen before and not to mention there was a very pretty, blonde, funny, and energetic trainer they would show. They then showed before and afters of the many people that have lost weight with this program. Right there I was convinced this would be the workout for me, I called right away and said SIGN ME UP BABY!  I waited and waited like it was christmas for that package to arrive at my front door. Finally I recieved it, I read the books that were included, watched the Get Fired Up information dvd and gathered all the food I would need to follow the meal plans.

First I started the Five Day Inferno and I lost about 5lbs and maybe 10inches. I was very pleased with myself, so I started following the actual TurboFire Schedule. Everyday(but Sunday) I would work out at the same time exactly 230pm. NO EXCEPTIONS this was time for me, to make myself feel better. I never felt better about sweaty so much, I looked forward to it. I pushed my self harder then anything I've ever set my mind to. I stuck to the program, I followed the meal plans and I'm so proud to say I am now 150lbs. When I look back at pictures my mouth drops, because I just can't believe the big differnce I made in under a year. I was feeling great and looking great, it worked for me. I gloated so MUCH!!! I was proud of myself for losing 70lbs, and I have every right to be.

Ill include some pictures of before and after so you can see the big difference/change!!!
Beachbody worked for me and I BET if you gave it a chance and stuck to it, and made it NON-NEGOTIABLE. You will reach your goal whether its to tone/tighten your body, lose weight, or maybe a few inches here and there, maybe you want muscle. You can achieve all of that and more you just have to believe in yourself.

TurboFire is the best workout program I have ever seen and tried. I want everyone to know about it, no matter how embarrassed I am about my starting weight. There are a TON of different Beach Body programs that you can chose from.

Who loves a good Cowboy? I know I do. BUT that might not be the case for Urban Decays Cowboy Junkie Set

So I was browsing around on the Urban Decay Cosmetics Site and I came across this palette called Midnight Cowboy. Included in this palette are four eyeshadows(Midnight Cowboy, Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, Midnight Cowgirl & Romp), 1 lip junkie lipgloss(Midnight Cowboy), and 1 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil(Whiskey).

When I saw this palette I was like "Gideeeee-Up Cowboy?!"  the mix of the four eyeshadows would make for a gorgeous look, throw in the lip junkie and Glide-On Eye pencil and you got yourself a HoeDown(just in the spirit of this whole Cowboy Theme).

I just loved the color of all four eye shadows and I couldn't wait to swipe my eye brush in that pan and applying it to my eye lid like whip cream on pumpkin pie (haaaa).  When I recieved this palette I was really impressed with the design of the palette/set but then again I EXPECT it because Urban Decay always delievers on cute & creative palette looks. This did not disappoint in that area, but alas when I got to the eye shadows sadness swept across my face.

The first three eye shadows: Midnight Cowboy, Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, & Midnight Cowgirl were/are very difficult to work with the description says "packed with shimmer" that is a major understatement at its best. Those 3 eye shadows are packed and mainly composed of glitter, the color pay off is weak and these 3 eye shadows apply very uneven. It took me quite a bit to try and get atleast a decent product swatch.. This was my first Urban Decay purchase that I was disappointed in, solely because those eyeshadows were what I was most looking forward to!

Of course the last eyeshadow Romp oh boyyyy! this color is so beautiful its a deep purple. Its very pigmented and makes me want to "romp" whatever that may be. The Glide-On Eye Pencil of course never disappoints but I already have about a gazillion Whiskey Glide-On Eye Pencils. But you can never have to much of one thing! The lip junkie is just as amazing as all their other lip junkie lip glosses, it is quite shimmery but not overwhelming its a nice subtle everyday/night lipgloss. The color for Midnight Cowboy Lip Junkie is a very light peach, and of course it smells like peppermint patty heaven!!!!

If you have been looking at this palette but hesitating, its for good reason. If you like alot of glitter aDnd an uncontrollable amount of glitter fallout every which way I say go for it. The only eye shadow I would purchase again or that would be worth it is Romp. The time it takes to apply this eyeshadow to get so much as a hint of the actual color shown in the pan, and time it takes to clean up all the glitter is not worth the $38.00 US it costs!
This was a definite miss for me, and it sadness me to say so I LOVE Urban Decay Cosmetics!

Subculture Lip Pencil by Mac

MAC's Lip Pencil is Subculture is an underground pink, this works great to go under lipsticks like Creme Cup or lipglasses like Evolution Revolution. Again lip liners are to define and reshape your lip but they can also be the only thing you apply to your lip. I've tried it before and its a great look. This lip pencil is $13 US sold online or in stores at MAC

You can check out all the MAC Lip Pencils here MAC Lip Pencils

In Synch with your lips.

Lip Liners sole purpose is to line, define and shape your lips. Also create an easier way to make sure you get you lipstick on your lips and not everywhere else it shouldn't be. This lip pencil is by MAC and its called In Synch its a bright yellow pink. This lip pencil/liner goes with so many lipglasses and lipsticks I already have. Its a fabulous color, they have way more colors to go with any look or color, and alot of them can be used with any color. Lip Pencils by MAC cost $13 US. I have never tried lip liners until just a few weeks ago, because all I saw when I thought about lip liners were the lady that would use extremely dark colors as liners and then a much much lighter color on the lip...which to me looks tacky. BUT if you do it correctly you will just accentuate the already great features you have! I highly recommend checking these out.

Have you ever used lipliners or lip pencils before? Any specific brand you prefer? Have you ever tried and lip liners before?
I'd love to hear your opinions/thoughts.
