JULY BEAUTY FAVORITES 2012

Its that time of month again, no not that time. ITS MONTHLY FAVORITES TIME!!!! Its the end of July already boy did it go by pretty fast then pretty slow..but most times fast.I have quite a bit of favorites from this month that I have been using, so brace yourself.

Tend Skin- for Razor bumps & burn and ingrown hair. I use this for my underarms and sometimes my legs.

Blistex- Cold & Allergy Lip Soother This stuff is amazing! It kind of has a taste to it, a nice one of course, a faint sweet smell and i can feel the soothing effect!

Clearasil- Rapid Action Seal-To-Clear Gel- I use this for those random breakouts I get every once in awhile I love these types of things for my breakouts they work great!

Simple Exfoliating Facial Wipes- I usually use Olay Sensitive Wipes, but I decided to try something new and I came across these exfoliating facial wipes. I like them, I use them on the go when I'm in a rush or after a workout. The exfoliating part is a bit rough but not bad.

Simple Eye Make-up Remover: I ran out of my MAC makeup remover so I needed something fast and just picked this up from my local drugstore. I like it a lot it does take a bit longer then i would like to remover my waterproof mascara but other then that I really like it.

Jason Purifying Tea Tree Pure Natural Deodorant Stick: THIS STUFF SUCKS FOR YOU UNDERARMS!!! It is terrible, its really slick, and when you sweat in the hot weather it intensifies it, and it doesn't help block odor or anything. BUT I have been using it to stop razor burns/bumps for my lady bit.

Summer's Eve Simply Sensitive Cleansing Cloths- I love these wipes, I love using them after a workout or when I'm on that special time of month.(not so special HA) and when its really hot out to freshen up. I'm not embarrassed, you have to stay clean and fresh! 

Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner- I use this everyday and night after I wash my face to help control Oils, and to minimize my pores on my nose. I love it! it also helps with the redness I sometimes get on my face.

L'oreal Paris Youth Code- SPF 30 Day Cream- My favorite skincare line EVER. Enough said.

 MAC Cosmetics Lipstick in PleasureSeeker, I love this color its from MACS Heavenly Creature Collection and Neo SCI-FI  collection. Perfect lipstick for any occasion!

Jouer Cosmetics- These are two seperate eyeshadows but you can connect them together ITS SO COOL!

The colors from left to right is: Bordeaux & Amaretto I love these colors and have been using them alot!

Urban Decay's Naked Palette- I feel like this is always on EVERY ONES Monthly favorites. BECAUSE its so amazing, the colors are gorgeous, the pigmentation is fantastic and you can create so many looks and do so many things with one palette! 

MAC COSMETICS Eye Shadow x2- Baby, Its Cold.. & Woodsmoke. Its from MAC's Ice Parade Collection from last year 2011, Gold Iced Delights.

 Mac's Carbon Eyeshadow I have literally had this since high school! My first ever MAC eyeshadow and I love it so much I mainly use this for Eyeliner purposes! for a softer look.Makes my eyes pop!

Mac Paint Pot in Morning Frost- I use to use nothing but Urban Decay Primer Potion but I don't think I'll ever go back. I have just fallen in complete love with this paint pot its perfect!

Chanel's Illusion D'Ombre in Illusoire- I LOVE THIS! its so soft and buttery and perfect! I like to use this when I only have a short time to do my make up. Sometimes I will also put Naked Lunch all over my lid and then smudge this into the outer corner of my eye and also on my bottom lashes.

Maybelline MasterShape Eyebrow Pencil in Soft Brown- Best Eye Pencil EVER!

 MAC Mineralize Skinfinish From the Semi Precious Collection in Semi Precious Goldstone, I use this as a bronzer and a blush its perfect for summer and gives you an amazing nice natural glow!

Jennifer Aniston's Perfume- This seriously makes me smell so good, I am a big fan of Jen Aniston she is gorgeous and makes a damn phenomenal perfume! I just constantly catch myself sniffing myself when I wear this perfume!

Who loves a good Cowboy? I know I do. BUT that might not be the case for Urban Decays Cowboy Junkie Set

So I was browsing around on the Urban Decay Cosmetics Site and I came across this palette called Midnight Cowboy. Included in this palette are four eyeshadows(Midnight Cowboy, Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, Midnight Cowgirl & Romp), 1 lip junkie lipgloss(Midnight Cowboy), and 1 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil(Whiskey). 


When I saw this palette I was like "Gideeeee-Up Cowboy?!"  the mix of the four eyeshadows would make for a gorgeous look, throw in the lip junkie and Glide-On Eye pencil and you got yourself a HoeDown(just in the spirit of this whole Cowboy Theme).


I just loved the color of all four eye shadows and I couldn't wait to swipe my eye brush in that pan and applying it to my eye lid like whip cream on pumpkin pie (haaaa).  When I recieved this palette I was really impressed with the design of the palette/set but then again I EXPECT it because Urban Decay always delievers on cute & creative palette looks. This did not disappoint in that area, but alas when I got to the eye shadows sadness swept across my face. 



The first three eye shadows: Midnight Cowboy, Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, & Midnight Cowgirl were/are very difficult to work with the description says "packed with shimmer" that is a major understatement at its best. Those 3 eye shadows are packed and mainly composed of glitter, the color pay off is weak and these 3 eye shadows apply very uneven. It took me quite a bit to try and get atleast a decent product swatch.. This was my first Urban Decay purchase that I was disappointed in, solely because those eyeshadows were what I was most looking forward to!


Of course the last eyeshadow Romp oh boyyyy! this color is so beautiful its a deep purple. Its very pigmented and makes me want to "romp" whatever that may be. The Glide-On Eye Pencil of course never disappoints but I already have about a gazillion Whiskey Glide-On Eye Pencils. But you can never have to much of one thing! The lip junkie is just as amazing as all their other lip junkie lip glosses, it is quite shimmery but not overwhelming its a nice subtle everyday/night lipgloss. The color for Midnight Cowboy Lip Junkie is a very light peach, and of course it smells like peppermint patty heaven!!!! 


If you have been looking at this palette but hesitating, its for good reason. If you like alot of glitter aDnd an uncontrollable amount of glitter fallout every which way I say go for it. The only eye shadow I would purchase again or that would be worth it is Romp. The time it takes to apply this eyeshadow to get so much as a hint of the actual color shown in the pan, and time it takes to clean up all the glitter is not worth the $38.00 US it costs!
This was a definite miss for me, and it sadness me to say so I LOVE Urban Decay Cosmetics!

I Wanna See Your Peacock- Urban Decay Preen Palette

The Preen Palette is nothing shy of colorful, vivid & fun colors. Included are 6 eye shadows, 1 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil, and 1 Eyeshadow Primer Potion. When I first saw this palette I went googoo gaga! This palette initially costs 30$ but it was on sale for 10$, I tried to find it on the Urban Decay Cosmetics site but they took it down. So this palette is no longer available for purchase unless you find it at a Sephora store, or on Ebay(of course, everything is on ebay). 


The casing for this palette is gorgeous, its a solid matte black color with foil artwork of a peacock on the front, and inside is artwork of peacock feathers and a handy mirror for easy application.The eyeshadows included in this kit are very pigmented, it includes: Snatch(peachy pink with glitter), Mildew (olive mossy hunter green), Flash(purple shimmer), Painkiller(turquoise shimmer), Smog(deep golden brown), Toasted(light metallic taupe). Snatch is from the Midnight Cowboy Palette & Book of Shadows Vol. 3, Toasted is from the Naked Palette, Smog is also from the Naked Palette & Book of Shadow Vol. 3. & Vegan Palette, Mildew is from the Dangerous Palette & Ammo Shadow box... If I continued it would be long and frustrating.  All of these colors are very pigmented, as are all of UD's eyeshadows.


Urban Decay is constantly repromoting  their shades in every palette/shadow box they come out with. Its great to see the colors you love so much but there is a limit, and I would LOVE to see some new, even more amazing colors from Urban Decay! Who's with me?! (crowd cheers WE ARE!!). You could do so many looks with this palette it is mind numbing! 


Urban Decay's EyeShadow Primer Potion is THE best, and I mean THE best I have tried other stuff, it just wasn't living up to UD's eye primer. When ever I use this eye primer my eye shadow/eyeliner lasts ALL DAY without creases and without fading. The 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero(black) is most certainly 24/7, I wear it on my lower lash lines because that is the first place my makeup smudges, and this lasts all day for me without the unwanted smudging that may occur.

AfterGlow Glide-on Cheek Tint- Urban Decay

It pains my eyes & mind to say this, but Afterglow Glide-On Cheek Tint from Urban Decay was definitely a hit and miss. Now the one that I received was a sample, thank gosh for that or else I would have wasted precisely 24$ big ones on this. I have been wanting to buy this for some time but I held off, getting this sample was a definite money saver. The only good thing I can say about this product is the color in the pan and the fact that it has Vitamins A,E & C in the formula. This Tint is very sheer, it is buildable but it takes quite a long time to build up the color. I had to keep applying and applying this cheek tint to even have a hint of color to my cheek. It looked like I did all that work for nothing, because you couldn't tell I had anything on my cheeks. The color I received was Quickie and don't get me wrong it is a beautiful color, I just wish the color pay off was worth it, and that it wasn't so sheer.

Color looks good here..but remind you it took about a good 20-25minutes just to get that amount of color pay off!

Embrace the Rollergirl In You

Urban Decay Cosmetics always have very fun palettes and cosmetics in general. The names they chose and the vibrant colors and the Rollergirl Palette is just that. It has four funky fresh eye shadows( not really Funky but hey rollergirl makes me think of the '70s) This palette is perfect for traveling it magnetically shuts closed, and also has a nifty spot to put your eyeliner. 


The Rollergirl Palette includes 4 funky fresh eye shadows, 1 24/7 Glide-on eyeliner, and a Lip Junkie Lipgloss. The colors are very pigmented, easy to blend, and apply smoothly. Its covered in pictures of a Rollergirl, and is very cute. This is a must have to have in your makeup stash. 


Today I was full on RollerGirl in all her glory, I wore everything included in this palette and the lipgloss paired with the eye shadow and eye liner is just a remarkably gorgeous look for day & night. You can pair up or triple or quadruple up these colors it doesn't matter they all still work fantastically with each other. So many looks with just 4 eye shadows? YEAH. The four eyeshadows included are Woodstock(hot pink), Darkhorse(smoldering brown), Suspect(copper), & Verve(pale oyster shimmer)


This palette costs exactly 32.00$, I have looked through all of the ingredients for everything included in this palette and I saw absolutely no parabens which is a good thing. Urban Decay is almost Animal Cruelty FREE! So if you like the looks of this palette but your not to sure on the price, them being cruelty free products should have definitely convinced you to get it. Some of you may think that bright, vibrant pink is scary and you would never have a time to wear it? well that is where you would be wrong, paired with these 3 other amazing neutral eye shadows this look is great for any time, day, & occasion. The pink can be the center of attention or you can just add alittle just for a slight pop of color. your choice. Either way this is a palette you won't regret shelling out the cash on.  



The 24/7 Glide-On EyeLiner included is there #1 best selling eyeliner, 1 of the eye shadows was featured in the much coveted and sought after Naked palette, and another eye shadow was in the Book of Shadows. So the eye shadows/eyeliner included are nothing but the best and most popular from Urban Decay. The Lip Junkie Lipgloss(in Crush) of course has that signature peppermint smell, every time I apply one of UD's lip Junkies it takes me to a place FILLED with an endless amount of York Peppermint Patties(yummm!) as far as the eye could see and the nose could smell. The lip junkie's rated on a scale of regular-MAC lipglass stick would be regular I couldn't notice any stickiness when I applied this fun color. It had a wear time of exactly 6 hours (yes I timed it) it stayed glossy, vibrant, and pepperminty the entire time.

Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil- Oil Slick, Whiskey, & Rockstar

    Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils are known for being long lasting, water proof and yes 24/7 wear. I will just be very frank from the beginning I LOVE Urban Decay :). You will find that out later. I tend to use these pencils under my lower lash line, because that is the first place where my make-up smears, and starts to travel down my eye (uggh!) I have the travel size eye pencils because they are just so cute and tiny, plus easy to carry around. I could easily fit these bad boys in my pockets.

  The regular sized Glid-On pencils are 18.00$ and Urban Decay has approximately 20 different colors. Another great thing about Urban Decay is they are Cruelty Free Products HELLLO anything I can use that wasn't tested or used on animals makes my heart all warm & fuzzy! In case any of you are wondering I read through the ingredients in these and there are no Parabens.  When I swatched these and they set on my hand, I had to scrub, scrub, scrub to get the eyeliner to fade, JUST fade that is all. I might need a brillo pad to get the rest off..haaa just kidding I wouldn't use a brillo pad on my hand!
