NYX - Diamond Sparkle Lip Glosses

I bought these lip glosses when they were featured on Hautelook , they were selling a set of 13 for 21.50, when those lip glosses originally cost 5.50 each! So that was definitely a steal and I just had to get it. It was the first NYX product I ever purchased/tried, so I said what the heck, I'll go for it.  NYX has 15 different shades of this diamond sparkle lipgloss but 2 weren't included in the set and thats- Rose Sparkle and Plum Sparkle.


There are many different shades included in this set, and they are so gorgeous. There is a weird smell when you first apply the lip gloss, its hardly noticeable and quickly fades away.  These lip glosses have very rich color, but can be sheer at the same time without losing their color, also they aren't sticky in the slightest bit. Their staying power is about 2-4 hours for me, which is pretty good, because I do not enjoy reapplying my lip gloss every 30 minutes.

Pretty Powerful- Powerful Palette by Bobbi Brown. Is actually Pretty Powerful!

"I Believe that all women are pretty without makeup-but with the right makeup can be pretty powerful." - Bobbi Brown

This palette includes four wearable pinks and browns, a plum colored blush, 2 lipglosses(different shades of pink) and 1 lip color(pink fuchsia ). The palette cost 60$, pretty pricey for a palette I agree but when it is coming from Bobbi Brown I say its well worth forking over the cash. This palette was designed for medium to dark complexions, but I am light to medium and it looks stunning.These Palettes are Limited Edition and there are 2 different palettes for Pretty Powerful.First off I am loving the story behind why Bobbi Brown created this palette. So let's get into the swatches and review on this palette, shall we? "yes we shall!"

The eye shadows- Navajo, Rose Gold(Shimmer Wash), Burnished Rose, & Chocolate Caviar. These colors are very beautiful you can blend them in for an soft nude look, or smoke them out for a powerful night look or just a sexy day time look. These eye shadows pack a big punch with or without an eye primer, very easy to blend together. I am just in love with these colors. Three of the eye shadows are matte and there is only one eye shadow that has a bit of shimmer to it, which makes this palette so easy to use.

The blush is called Plum and it is just that a gorgeous matte plum color. For this blush ALOT goes a long, long way it is very pigmented. I made the mistake of when I first tried out this palette and put way to much on the blush brush and went to apply it to my cheeks and it looked intense! So depending on your skin tone you might want to take it easy on how much of this blush you use. This blush for me has a wear time of about 6-8 hours so it is pretty long lasting.

There are 2 lip glosses and 1 lip color - Pink Pudding(Shimmer), Pink Bouquet(Glitter), & Powerful Pink. The 2 glosses are kind of on the sheer side, they have some color but not noticeable when applied over your natural lip color. However the lip color is actually very pigmented. I was pleasantly surprised when I applied these on my lips and they AREN'T sticky in the slightest bit, they apply very smooth and don't dry out.

This palette obviously looks amazing, very pigmented eye shadows & blushes, 2 glosses and 1 lip color. There is one downside of this palette and its that the blush and eye shadows are right beside the glosses and lip color, so when there is fallout of the the other products it gets all over the lip glosses & color.. which isn't very fun to try to wipe all the excess color off. The palette looks so fun and pretty and the mirror is great for on the go times and even travel.


Overall this palette is definitely worth the price tag!!

Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil- Oil Slick, Whiskey, & Rockstar

    Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils are known for being long lasting, water proof and yes 24/7 wear. I will just be very frank from the beginning I LOVE Urban Decay :). You will find that out later. I tend to use these pencils under my lower lash line, because that is the first place where my make-up smears, and starts to travel down my eye (uggh!) I have the travel size eye pencils because they are just so cute and tiny, plus easy to carry around. I could easily fit these bad boys in my pockets.

  The regular sized Glid-On pencils are 18.00$ and Urban Decay has approximately 20 different colors. Another great thing about Urban Decay is they are Cruelty Free Products HELLLO anything I can use that wasn't tested or used on animals makes my heart all warm & fuzzy! In case any of you are wondering I read through the ingredients in these and there are no Parabens.  When I swatched these and they set on my hand, I had to scrub, scrub, scrub to get the eyeliner to fade, JUST fade that is all. I might need a brillo pad to get the rest off..haaa just kidding I wouldn't use a brillo pad on my hand!

1 Important & Versatile Product Every Girl Should Have As A Staple In Her Make-Up Bag

The thing I love the most and use alot is Vaseline 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly. It can be used for literally anything, I also get excited when I can use a product for more then one thing, and this definitely does the trick.
I use it to remove all of my makeup, to prep my lips for the lipstick/lipgloss I will be wearing for the day, to remove loads and loads of makeup swatches from my arms/hands :), and you can also do it when you DIY your own hair dye( apply it around hair lines, and on/back of ears so you don't get all stained up from the dye. I've been there and trust me you end up looking like some weird martian, not a pretty site. You can also mix your moisturizer(hopefully one with an SPF) with your Petroleum Jelly to make your very own Face Primer. How cool is that?! Also back in the olden days Beauty Pageant Girls would put Petroleum Jelly on their teeth, so that they wouldn't forget to smile, I'm not sure if they still do but it worked. Fighters also wipe Petroleum Jelly ALL over their face, so when they take a blow to the face the person can't really get a good hit in. Sometimes when I get a pesky little red pimple on my face I apply some P-Jelly and it totally helps take down the swelling. It can also be used to prevent or heal windburn and dry skin during those winter/cold months. As you can see I could keep going on and on about the many uses for P-Jelly but that would make for one extremely LONG blog.

MAC Bloggers Obsession- Exclusively Online

I was really excited for this collection when it came out on June 21st. It was quite a hassle the day it was suppose to go online, because it would come up then disappear but they finally resolved the issue and I was able to complete the purchase. This was a collection where the colors and products were created by Beauty Bloggers!! How cool is that? I would love to be able to do something like this, and I'm so proud of the ones that got to design their own eyeshadow or lipglass! If you haven't gotten the chance to check it out, you definitely will want to get your hands on these. The are exclusively sold ONLINE. I just loved reading Karen's explaination for why she chose what she did, and also Christine. They did a really fantastic job on their creations! The Eye shadows Jealousy Wakes & Hocus Pocus are ALREADY SOLD OUT. eeesh I was hoping to get my hands on those two colors, hopefully MAC will put more in stock.

MAC Semi Precious Line OUT July 7th

So I am always EXCITED when MAC releases information about another make-up line they are coming out with soon. I can't take the wait I want it now! Anyways the line includes 5 Cremesheen Glasses, 4 Lipsticks, 3 Mineralized Blushes, 4 Mineralized Skinfinishes, 12 Mineralized Eyeshadows, 1 Mascara, 4 Limited Edition brushes, Limited Edition Mineralized Charged Water, and Limited Edition Mineralize Face & Body Lotion.

As you can see this is a pretty huge collection, I will say that im not that impressed with this collection.

It will be released in stores/counters July 7th in the US.

Thats all the product pictures, no swatches from me because I will not be buying everything in this collection, I am only interested in the cremesheen glasses and the lipsticks.

Sigma who's brushes are well known and used by beauty fanatics, guru's, and make-up artists have just released 3 NEW eyeshadow palettes! They are called Dare, Bare, & Flare.
